With the hundreds of different subscription boxes on the market right now, how would you know which one to choose? A few of my favourites are Boxy Charm, Fab Fit Fun, and Ipsy. If you’re unfamiliar with the concept of subscription boxes, basically you sign up with your billing and shipping information and then they send you a box full of different goodies, and they’re always different. It depends what box you get, but they’re either on a monthly basis or seasonal (4 times a year). Remember getting those surprise bags from the dollar store or Ardene when you were younger? Pretty much the same concept, but better.
There is all different kinds of subscriptions; it could be beauty products, food, home living, workout items etc. One of my favourite beauty boxes is Boxy Charm! I started receiving these a few months ago after my friend told me about hers and I’ve loved each box. This box is $21 a month, with a retail value over $100 and it’s definitely worth it. In each box you receive 4-5 full size brand name items, instead of tiny little samples. You can get skincare items, brushes, palettes, and all sorts of different makeup. The best thing about it, is they have you complete beauty quizzes to get to know you and your colour/shade preferences. The June boxy charm is specifically my favourite so far, so I thought I would do an unboxing to show you all!
RealHer I Shadow Palette (Be your own kind of beautiful: nude collections):
This palette is a mix of cool and warm colours, ranging from matte to metallic. It’s extremely blendable and builds up well, personally I love all the colours and they’re great for all different looks. This palette retails for $28.00 USD on their website!
Artist Couture: Diamond glow powder (Illuminati)
This highlight though.. I’ve been wanting to purchase the artist couture highlights forever but I always felt it wasn’t worth it for the conversion rate and shipping. They’re a loose powder and they’re ridiculously blinding, retails for $26.99 on their website.
OFRA Long lasting liquid lipstick: Santa Ana
I’m not a huge fan of liquid lipsticks but you win some and you lose some. I will say this is a beautiful fall/winter colour and it’s not as drying as most liquid lipsticks are. I’m a huge fan of this formula, but I probably wouldn’t wear it. This comes to $19.90 US on the Ofra website!
Luxie rose gold pro precision tapered face brush (640)
This is a natural haired brush, my first impression is that it’s extremely soft to touch. This brush is great to use to dust off after “baking” with translucent powder, or touch up under eye highlighting. It’s a really pretty brush, my only complaint was when I received it the bristles were squished from the packaging onto one side. $32.35 on the luxie website!
Bio Belle facial masks:
So, I received three sheet masks which I was actually really excited about! I love sheet masks and how they make my skin feel, they’re perfect to treat yourself. I got two botanic fiber facial masks (called#beautysecret & #iwokeuplikethis, and one five minute facial mask (called #primer). I haven’t had the chance to try these because since the weather started I’m trying to get my self tan on but I’m really excited. They’re each $4.99 on biobelle cosmetics!
I would definitely recommend this box to any beauty lovers out there wanting to try some new products! If you’re interested here is my referral URL: https://boxycharm.com/refer/Alexa-BTWDKDJP
