I wanted to share some amazing affordable makeup products for the gals/guys out there on a budget. The struggle can be totally real, especially for all the students out there. These are all products I’ve tried myself and love, nothing less. I hope you love them too!

BH Cosmetics: Carli Bybel Eye & Highlighter Palette ($22.50US)

This palette is to die for, it has 11 original  shades plus 10 new shadows and highlighters. If you’re looking for an affordable eyeshadow palette, this is the way to go. It’s a mix of matte and shimmer shadows plus you get highlighters like what could be better? Not to mention the swatches are RIDIC, super blendable and creamy. This palette sells for $22.50 US on the BH cosmetics website, which is an amazing price for the quality and amount of product you get.

Maybelline FIT ME: Loose Finishing Powder ($6.96CAD)

This is one of my favourite setting powders, my go to is usually the Laura Mercier translucent powder or the RMCA no colour powder but this is an amazing dupe. I was really looking for something that would apply smooth when I use it to bake my under eye concealer. I was happily surprised, the light colour doesn’t wash you out in pictures and it was everything I hoped for. It was extremely easy to work with, even after piling it up under my eyes. When removing it, it dusted off easily and left a smooth finish keeping my concealer in place all day. I would definitely recommend this powder to anyone looking for another alternative for a loose powder, its one of my new favourites. You can find it at any drug store (Walmart, Shoppers Etc.) and that price though..

Maybelline Master Chrome Highlighter ($10.96)

This highlighter is so beautiful, its such a great price for the quality and quantity you get. This is a metallic highlighting powder, and I used this as both a highlighter and a eyeshadow. Im big on highlighting, so for me to preach this product to you its no joke. You only need the smallest amount on your brush or finger and it glides on super smooth! It has a gold finish, beautiful for medium to tan skin tones. You can find this at any drugstore..

NYC: Liquid Liner ($3.87)

I recently purchased NYCs liquid liner because of all the beauty gurus talking about it, and let me tell you they were right! I bought it in shade 887-black, I really liked it because the formula was liquid enough without being too messy and it glides on super easy for beginners.The liner has a very fine brush at the end of a long handle which helps with making smooth lines and all types of wings! I did two coats to ensure max black darkness and I loved the look of it, for this price how could you go wrong? Definitely one of my new faves! Definitely try this one out, I purchased on amazon but I’m sure you can find it at a drug store somewhere.

L’oreal Paris: Lash Paradise Waterproof Mascara ($10.96)

I think someone prayed to the eyelash gods because this mascara is crazy, its waterproof which is perfect for keeping it in place all day and also great for girls who have straight eyelashes (me), this helps keep them curled. This is the least clumpy mascara I’ve ever used and is so easy to apply. I would have to say between drug store and high end makeup brands, nothing I’ve used has beat this. Go to your local drug store and check this baby out!
